And now, please put your hands together for the following KOD-members, who have good news to share:
WILD MAN’S CURSE, the first book in Suzanne Johnson’s new Wilds of the Bayou series written for Montlake Romance under her Susannah Sandlin pen name, finally has a cover!
The book, which comes out April 5th, involves voodoo, family curses, South Louisiana bayous, Native American mysticism, a sociopath, and a hot wildlife enforcement agent (think game warden with paramilitary training). All good, right?
You can see the cover on Suzanne’s website: http://suzannejohnsonauthor.com/2016/01/cover-reveal-wild-mans-curse-by-susannah-sandlin.html
Having had several delays including a couple of months for back surgeries and complications, Brenda Davis is thrilled to say that on January 28th, she finally finished all rewrites and edits on both manuscripts requested at the RWA conference and has submitted them. Many thanks to all those who supported and encouraged her!
Kathy Crouch was discharged from physical therapy Tuesday, the therapist measured the knee bend at 115 degrees compared to December 15, 2015, when she barely bent it to 4 degrees. She’s 7 weeks post op from having knee replacement surgery on December 7, 2015. She’s to continue her PT exercises. It has helped with her writing, boosting her measly barely 100 words a day closer to 2k per day.
And since we’re talking about health issues, I broke my finger on Monday, so please excuse any weirdness that may creep into the Good News reports in the next couple of weeks. I’m wearing a splint, so typing’s a little more difficult than usual.
And on that note, have a great weekend, and we’ll be back next week!
Guess last week’s quote? It’s the tagline from Sleuth, but it’s also good advice for mystery/suspense writers. Here’s the next: “My words are my bullets.”
