Please put your hands together for the following KOD-members, who have good news to share:

Barbara Barrett just signed with The Wild Rose Press to publish NOT YOUR MAMA’S MAMBO, the third and final book in the Sullivan’s Creek series. The series covers the design, construction, selling and finishing of the new residential community in central Iowa. Barrett used the building of her own new home as her “research lab” to gain knowledge of some of the details involved.

Years ago, billionaire Mike Woodley’s family turned on him for using his trust fund to bail his friend out of trouble. Though now reconciled, his relations with them are strained because he fears rejection again if he gets too close.

Family is everything to landscape artist Darren Williams. Since her father’s death when she was a teen, she has taken care of her mother and younger sister, allowing them to lean on her even when they should handle their own problems.

Accused of living a life reflected by the sterile surroundings of his temporary condo, Mike invites his family to Christmas dinner in his new home in Sullivan’s Creek. But the place still needs to be furnished.  Since none of the decorators he interviews meet his standards, he asks Darren, who turns him down. But when her sister’s gambling debts escalate beyond Darren’s limited savings, she is forced to reconsider.

Lorena McCourtney is writing mysteries, but is also trying to make some of her print-published romances available as e-books. Just released is DEAR SILVER on Kindle, Nook, Kobo, and iBooks.

Silver Sinclair’s love life has never been anything spectacular, but this breakup letter from Chris Bentley is a new low. It’s as abrupt and impersonal as a you’re fired letterfrom a cold-hearted employer. She’d be devastated by it except for one minor detail: Who is Chris Bentley? Silver’s bewilderment quickly turns to indignation, however. What kind of guy writes such a letter to end a relationship? An insensitive clod, that’s who! Which is exactly what Silver tells him when the sparks fly – and the hot latte spills – at their fiery first meeting.

Our own dear Silver, Silver James, is excited to announce that she’s a double finalist in the 25th annual National Readers Choice Awards, sponsored by Oklahoma Romance Writers of America. THE DEVIL’s CUT, the 3rd book in Silver’s Penumbra Papers urban fantasy series featuring FBI agents with paranormal proclivities is a finalist in the Paranormal Romance category. NIGHT SHIFT, book 1 in her Nightriders MC series, is a finalist in the Erotic Romance category. There will be mimosas in San Diego! (Mimosas being the traditional celebratory beverage at OKRWAs award ceremony held at Nationals.)

You can check out these and all of Silver‘s books at her website: https://www.silverjames.com

And finally, Elizabeth Heiter’s VANISHED, the second book in the Profiler series, is a finalist in the mainstream categories of the Booksellers’ Best Award and the National Readers’ Choice Award

And that’s it for this round. Have a good weekend!
