Golden Heart Nominee
Lisa Heartman’s romantic suspense novel, “High Heels and Handguns,” finaled in the Golden Heart awards. Her quote: I probably should have sent this to you a week or two ago, but I’m still shocked and finally getting around to telling everyone.
Good News Times Two
Janet Stevens is an RWA Golden Heart finalist for the third year in a row, this time with her YA sci-fi entry, “The Nascent Bloom,” which she’s pitching as “Romeo & Juliet meets The Defiant Ones”–in space!
She received more good news this week when she learned her WWII-set short story, “The Vanishing Volume,” has been nominated for the Short Mystery Fiction Society’s Derringer Award. The story appears in the library-themed mystery/crime anthology, Shhh… Murder!
Golden Double Request
Valen Cox is thrilled to announce that her futuristic suspense, “Touch 3.3,” is a 2019 Golden Heart Finalist. Her manuscript along with a series proposal has been double requested by publishers. “Touch 3.3” was also a 2018 Daphne Finalist, Maggie Finalist, and Sheila Winner.
