Double Cozy Contract
Alexis Morgan is thrilled to announce that she just accepted an offer for two more cozy mysteries in her Abby McCree Mystery series from Kensington. The series debuted earlier this year with the release of Death by Committee. The second book in the series, Death by Jack-O-Lantern, will be released at the end of August, to be followed by the third book next year. The two new books are tentatively scheduled for release in 2021.
New Release Next Week
Zara West is excited to announce that Book 4 in her Skin Quartet series, Under the Skin, a romantic, urban thriller set in Williamsburg Brooklyn, will release on Wednesday, June 19.
Good news on Three Fronts
Falstaff Books has reissued Nancy Northcott’s The Herald of Day, the indie-pubbed first book in her Richard III-themed historical fantasy trilogy, The Boar King’s Honor. Magic, a family ghost, and old enmity come into play as an untrained seer and a cursed wizard try to undo chaotic alterations to the timeline in 17th-century England. Falstaff will publish the (as yet unwritten) second and third books at one-year intervals.
Nancy also has a novella in the upcoming Fathers’ Day anthology, Who’s Your Daddy, with Caren Crane and Jeanne Adams. Nancy’s story is about a burned-out spy’s return to his hometown and the woman he never forgot.
Finally, Nancy is one of the authors chosen for Prospective Press’s forthcoming SFF anthology, Predators in Petticoats. Nancy’s story, set in the Outcast Station universe, features a telepathic deputy marshal seeking to avenge her childhood best friend.

Despite the Loss, Always Moving Forward
After losing her fabulous cover designer, Diana Stout moved forward by designing the covers for her upcoming two romances, Love’s New Beginnings and Tomorrow’s Wish for Love, both of which were traditionally published in the 1990s under different titles and her then married name. These two books will be #7 and #8, all of which she has published through her company, Sharpened Pencils Productions LLC. Upon joining the chapter, she remembered a mystery series she started back in the ’90s, found a finished draft on the shelf, and is now blowing off its dust, making it a future project.
