Please put your hands together for the following KOD-members, who have good news to report:

Misty Simon has been offered a three book print deal from Kensington for a new cozy mystery series (with romance). 🙂

Lisa Caviness is excited to announce her debut book has been published. ORDER OF FEAR, Book 1 in The Order Series, published on April 30, 2016.

Sometimes fear is all that keeps you alive.

Murder – A senior account, ballet dancer, and future bride, Marissa Nash likes order, and she expects all the pieces of her life to add up. Her bottom line is skewed after she discovers her fiancĂ© has been unfaithful. When Marissa walks in to the unexpected—David dead and her dog, Halo, agitated and restless, she finds her nightmare is only beginning.

Passion – David’s unenthused best man and traumatized former Army doctor, Justin Tanner understands that a wedding means more than a toast and a kiss. His reluctance stems from feelings that run deeper than they should for the bride. But when he finds Marissa cradling his best friend’s lifeless body, can he find a way to suppress his feelings as they uncover David’s secret world?

Evil – The seemingly pointless murder launches Marissa and Justin into a wicked web of lies, delusion and danger at the hands of a powerful and psychotic foe.  Murder, passion, evil—who will survive?

Tracy Brody‘s fantastic news is that IN THE WRONG SIGHTS is a finalist in KOD’s own Daphne in the Mainstream category. So thrilled!

And last, but certainly not least, from AJ Brower: “I have news (finally). I published my first book back in 2009, but didn’t break the threshold for earnings required to be in PAN, the Published Author Network. RWA has a new provision for published authors like me called Provisional PAN. I used RWA ‘s online application, submitted my ISBN, title and publication date, and two weeks later, I have been accepted into the hallowed PAN ranks!

Now I get all the published scuttlebutt on the PAN loop, a cool pin and a PAN ribbon at the conference! But I don’t get to vote for PAN liaison. I think I’ll survive though.

Hopefully there are others that might want to do this, so I wrote it such that all KOD’s members can figure it out. The journalist in me!”

Make sure you check out the list of 2016 Unpublished Finalists for the Daphne! It can be found here.

And that’s it for the week. Have a good weekend!
