First Contest, First Win

Zia Westfield received recently learned that her romantic suspense, Killer Secrets, placed 5th in the Oklahoma RWA IDA contest for indie published books. The first five winners are announced for each category. It’s her first ever contest. She’s thankful to all the judges who took time to read Killer Secrets and to the efforts of the contest organizers.

Please note that not all finalists and winners have been notified but they can keep an eye on the website to learn more.

New Milestone Reached

Jenna Bennett finished writing her 40th book this past week – novel 16 in her Savannah Martin mystery series – and to make it even better, she wrote it in less than three weeks, which is a personal best for her. She wrote 10,000 words on Sunday, and that was a personal best, too, in 12 years of writing. It’s been a while since she produced at that rate, so it was very nice to be back there. Hopefully the same thing will happen when she moves on to the next book, but for now, she’ll enjoy this accomplishment and try not to fret about next time.
